In my Photography class I was assigned a project that involved five main values about Mentoring the Heart, Nurturing the Soul, Instructing the Mind, Engaging the Hands and Feet, and Preparing for Life. With these five topics I had to create Memes using different photos and quotes or verses to describe each main topic. This was very difficult, because I had to figure out what kind of photo to take that clearly represents the topics and a quote/verse that clearly stated the main points as well. Each theme I was given I correlated with a verse.
A few days ago I had the privilege of taking my little sister's Sweet Sixteen pictures. She is an absolutely beautiful, Godly young woman, and always has a smile on her face no matter what the circumstance. So taking photos of her was a blast. We started at the railroad tracks and slowly moved to different locations. But here is a picture of her at the Railroad location. The lighting was perfect that day and just made her absolutely glow. I found this idea of writing words on the bottom of shoes on Pinterest. The original picture said 2014 , but I decided to change the words to say Sweet 16. I love this shot so much because it captures everything that Sarah is and loves but it also captures a special moment in her life. Now here is another shot I took of Sarah. This was taken in a field not to far away from the Railroad tracks. But here, as well, she looks stunning. The lighting was also perfect at this location. The way she posed and the colors she was wearing made her eyes pop. This photo was taken at our last location. It was cold and very windy, but I thought lets see if we can use the wind to our advantage. So I posed Sarah against the wall, took some shots, but soon realized something was missing. I then saw an old piece of wood and decided to write Sweet 16 on it and put it next to her. This is the final product and I love the contrast between the rocks and rugged look with her floral flowy dress. Last week, my photography class and I was assigned a project, and that was to create a pinhole camera. I have heard of pinhole photography but have not worked with one before, so this was exciting for us. We first were to gather all the supplies to create this camera. You will need: 1. a can (soda can, Arizona ice tea can, or even a metal lunch box) 2. exact-o knife 3. black tape 4. black paper 5. black spray paint 6. mat board 7. 5x7 photo paper 8. push pin 9. sharpie 10. dark room (provided with chemicals used to develop photo's) In this project my group used a 15.5 fl. oz. can Step One:

I recently was assigned a Photo assignment on Landscape and Emotion Photography. This type of Photography is the style that I am drawn to, so it was very interesting to see what other photographers thought during the process and how they took their photos. The first photographer was Julian Barkway. To the left is The Cascade du Verneau this photo gives me a sense of peace, and security. I was awestruck with the beauty of the nature of the tree and the rock. The shades and colors in this photo are very calming and relaxing, and its not too bright Now this photo is so beautiful, it really is majestic and has a fantasy feeling to it. Anne McKinnell captures the very dramatic sky in the reflection of the water, the lighting is very emotional, and it draws you into the photo and gives off a sense of seriousness and darkness. When I first saw this photo I was immediately drawn in, and started wondering what she was thinking during this process and what was she feeling...? Fredrick Concha's Landscape Photography is absolutely beautiful, it is so majestic and just has a calm feeling. His photos are breathtaking. I love his style of photography, because this is the type of photography that I want to take in the future. His photos capture the rare beauty of this place, and he really positions this whole photo perfectly, the lighting is gorgeous and I admire how he makes his photos possess this dreamy feeling.
