In my Photography class I was assigned a project that involved five main values about Mentoring the Heart, Nurturing the Soul, Instructing the Mind, Engaging the Hands and Feet, and Preparing for Life. With these five topics I had to create Memes using different photos and quotes or verses to describe each main topic. This was very difficult, because I had to figure out what kind of photo to take that clearly represents the topics and a quote/verse that clearly stated the main points as well. Each theme I was given I correlated with a verse.
A few days ago I had the privilege of taking my little sister's Sweet Sixteen pictures. She is an absolutely beautiful, Godly young woman, and always has a smile on her face no matter what the circumstance. So taking photos of her was a blast. We started at the railroad tracks and slowly moved to different locations. But here is a picture of her at the Railroad location. The lighting was perfect that day and just made her absolutely glow. I found this idea of writing words on the bottom of shoes on Pinterest. The original picture said 2014 , but I decided to change the words to say Sweet 16. I love this shot so much because it captures everything that Sarah is and loves but it also captures a special moment in her life. Now here is another shot I took of Sarah. This was taken in a field not to far away from the Railroad tracks. But here, as well, she looks stunning. The lighting was also perfect at this location. The way she posed and the colors she was wearing made her eyes pop. This photo was taken at our last location. It was cold and very windy, but I thought lets see if we can use the wind to our advantage. So I posed Sarah against the wall, took some shots, but soon realized something was missing. I then saw an old piece of wood and decided to write Sweet 16 on it and put it next to her. This is the final product and I love the contrast between the rocks and rugged look with her floral flowy dress. |
